Day 1: Srinagar – Pahalgam

On Arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be met and greeted then transfered to Pahalgam. On the way, visit a Saffron field and the Avantipur ruins, an 1100 year old temple. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check-in at your 4-star hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Pahalgam Sightseeing

In the morning, tour Chandanwari and Betab Valley. The valley is a favorite campsite of travelers as it serves as a base camp for trekking and further exploration of the mountains. The crystal-clear, chilly waters of the stream bubbling down from the snowy hills is a delight, and the locals use it as a source of drinking water. Baisaran and Tulian Lake are nearby attractions that can be visited. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 3: Pahalgam – Gulmarg

After breakfast, leave for Gulmarg, one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. Gulmarg is popular for its highest golf course in the world and also has skiing during the winter season. You can take a cable car from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 4: Gulmarg – Srinagar

After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. Later, go on a sightseeing tour of the city. Starting from world famous Mughal Gardens, visit the Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), The Chasme Shahi Garden and Shankara Chari Temple. Afterward, take a shikara ride on Dal Lake and enjoy the beauty that this city has been graced with. Overnight on a houseboat.

Day 5: Srinagar – Sonamarg –Srinagar

Today you will take a full day tour of the "Meadow of Gold", Sonmarg, the most beautiful place in Kashmir, stopping at many beautiful spots along the way. You can also do the horse ride here to visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains round the year. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.

Highlights

The aim of Kashmir Great Lakes expedition is to trek from Sonamarg to Naranag via Nichnai pass. The Great Lakes as the name suggests treks through much high altitude alpine lakes situated at the foothills of different snowy mountain peaks. It crosses streams, plenty of colorful meadows and crosses three mountain passes. The best time to trek would be between July – September as the meadow trail is in its full bloom and the weather conditions with the average temperature remain between 18 -20 degrees in the day and 3 -4 at night. The most popular trek which covers the lake of, Vishansar, Krishansar, and Gadsar twin lakes.

Day 01:- Arrive Srinagar Airport / Bus station  On arrival at Srinagar airport or bus station, our representative will receive you and transfer you to the Bed and Breakfast for overnight stay.

Day 02:- Srinagar –Sonamarg –Nichnai (2hrs Drive / 5hrs trek) After breakfast we drive to Sonamarg “The meadow of gold” along picturesque Sind River. At Shitksri we pack our load on horses and start our trek. Our trail a slightly steep, passes through the meadows and enters a pine birch forest at Shokdari before the vast and long Nichnai meadow which is our camping ground for overnight stay.

Day 03:- Nichnai –Vishansar –Krishansar Lake (6hrs trek)  After breakfast we leave Nichnai meadow and start ascending one of the three passes of the trek the Nichnai pass (4000m) we ascend it through long grazing pastures sheep. After crossing the pass we enter into the Vishansar Lake for an overnight stay.

 Day 04:- Day at Vishansar –Krishansar Lake After breakfast day at leisure at Vishansar lake to get yourself acclimatization.

Day 05:- Krishansar –Gadsar (6hrs trek)  After breakfast we head towards Krishansar lake which lies just over the ridge, we take its eastern shore to ascend the second pass of the trek the Gadsar pass (4050m) On top of the pass we have the aerial view of the whole Vishansar valley among it are situated the twin lakes of Vishansar and Krishansar “the source of “Neelam River” we descend through Gadsar valley and lakes the camp at Kustoor Kout for an overnight stay.

 Day 06:- Gadsar –Satsar Lakes –Megandoab (5hrs trek) After breakfast we ascend Kostur Kout leaving Gadsar valley and enter the meadow of Rasbal. It’s the Rasbal where a flowing river disappears underground. We continue our trek through seven small lakes of Satsar and camp at Megandoab at the foothills of the third pass of Zajibal for an overnight stay.

Day 07:- Satsar –Gangabal Lake (6hrs trek) The last and the highest pass of our trek “Zajibal” pass (4180m) we forget all our tiredness when reaching atop because of the views, scenery. We see mount Haramukh (5300m) just standing at our face and at its footsteps lie the twin beautiful alpine lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol, we descend it to reach Gangabal Lake for an overnight stay.

Day 08:- Gangabal –Naranag (6hrs trek)  After breakfast we leave Gangabal and Nundkol Lakes and trek through the meadows of Trunkol and descend to Naranag village through the pine forest of Bodpathri. Here end our walking. We take our car and driver back to Srinagar and stay overnight at Houseboat.

Day 09:- Srinagar Departure transfer Airport OR Bus station  After breakfast proceed to Airport or Bus station for you’re on-wards journey....

Tarsar Marsar trek in Kashmir. Trekking in Kashmir is altogether different from trekking anywhere else in our country. Where else you get an opportunity to trek where you will be able to see such tremendous high lakes. On this trek, you will get the chance to camp alongside two such excellent lakes, Tarsar and Sundarsar. You additionally get the opportunity to trek to Marsar, which stand amongst the most difficult lakes in Kashmir.

Day 01: Arrive Srinagar Airport

After arriving at Srinagar Airport, It will take you 2 hrs drive to Aru Valley Our base camp for the Tarsar-Marsar trek which is another 12kms before Pahalgam, overnight stay in Huts or Tents

Day 02: Aru To Lidderwat (9.5km, 6 Hours)

After breakfast start trek with a consistent move for 2 to 3 hours through a superb pine woodlands trail. This is an uphill climb but an easy and pleasant one. We trek along the Lidder River which connects to the village uphill. we can camp along the riverside to rest for the night.

 Day 03: Lidderwat ToShekiwas (5.6km 5 Hours)

After breakfast we would have a lot of climbing up to do wherein we will cover a distance of approximately 6-7 kms and it will take roughly 5 hours. We will start our trek alongside the Lidder River that will take us to the pine forest. There will also be the thrill of river crossing on this day. we will make a short stop at the Gujjar huts and enjoy some tea and snacks before continuing on the trek. We will be camping at Shekiwas for the night which is a verdant meadow land. Rest here for the night.

 Day 04: Shekiwas To Tarsar (5km 4 Hours)

Today the trail will take us through lush grasslands before reaching Sumbal; from here the path will lead us to a ridge on a stream that will further take us to Tarsar. After couple of hrs a spectacular conical hill top that will offer breath- taking views of almond shaped Tarsar Lake. Which is also our campsite for the night.

 Day 05: Tarsar To Sundarsar Visit to Marsar (Optional  (5km 5 Hours)

This would be the most challenging and exciting day of the trek as we would cross the Tarsar pass at an altitude of 13,500 feet. We would be covering a distance of 5kms in approximately 5- 6 hours.Again we camp for the night at Tarsar Campsite.

Day 06: Sundarsar To Marsar and back to Sonmasti (7.5kms 6 Hours)

Today we trek up and over a seat on an edge arranged on the uttermost side of the lake. We would cover approximately 7-8 kms today in about 5-6 hours. Our camping ground for the day would be at Sonmasti which is close to Gujjar huts at the end of the valley. It is extremely beautiful location.

 Day 07: Sonmasti To Sumbal, Driver to Sonamarg

On the last day of the Tarsar Marsar Trek we would start the day early. We will climb down to Sumbal from Sonmasti and then drive to Srinagar, Aiming at reaching before it gets dark.
